...HOME!

It's great to be back here teaching again at home with my regular crowd. Don't get me wrong or take this the wrong way, but sometimes we all want to feel like we are on holiday forever right! I hear you, those of you that are retired, but whatever your status there's something about being away & stepping out of your regular routines that is just so refreshing. Especially for me as I do spend most of it in the sea!

I had a fabulous time relaxing & working at home in France & Spain & Italy this year. Making sure I spent my time doing one of my favourite things...surfing!

A change is definitely as good as a rest, but back on track feels great as some classes restarted last Monday. Your new timetable is available at here

Summer can also be an exhausting event with kids at home & visitors to entertain. So now's the time to re-focus on you. We are all looking forward to sharing our summer stories over stretches, smoothies, splashing, SUPping & sweating aren't we ;-)

With an awesome August from surfing in the Atlantic in France to Spain & the living in an artist hilltop village in Italy I feel very blessed to have had such a wonderful time with amazing people & I learnt so much. I will definitely be incorporating many of those new things into our classes.

Engaging in activities with people who also enjoy them aswell has many benefits. It almost forces you to show up because unless you go through all the trouble of pulling out on your mates which is much more effort not showing only creates that guilty feeling for them & ourselves. Whilst on the one hand we can have  our reasons most of us agree we only feel that guilt when we need to act & refocus ourselves.

Those who share similar interests with you will give you the motivation, inspiration, encouragement, support, & maybe if you are that way inclined -  the competition you need to get back into it all.

Then of course there may come that voice 'no you're not good enough'. Where does it come from? Well according to phychologists it is a thought not a feeling....it is of course your ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ ๐˜ค๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ค. So let's try to stop hiding behind tge face of it.

Whilst it seems to set out to sabotage your dreams, it is actually trying to protect you & actually MOTIVATE you into survival mode. It wants you to challenge it & prove it wrong taking the adequate steps you need to realise your goals. The thing is to stop using it as an excuse & accepting it. Listen & talk to it...put it in its place.

During classes we focus on you & that's a perfect time to reflect & to remember the enjoyable things that happened during the holidays. A time to count your blessings, re-engerize & refocus. Maybe you've also met new people, learnt new tricks, discovered new foods & recipes or ways. All these can space up your old routines & give them that holiday favour. 

Talking of which here is a tastey treat we had at our Yoga Stretch & Swim Class as we started back today.
